Messenger from Shi-no

We received last night the reply for the e-mail sent to Shi-no, vocalist of Gram∞Maria, with our work material. On the e-mail, he said he is very happy with what he listened and he is excited with coming over. He wants very much to meet us and rehearse soon. So far, we know he'll come about four days before his first shows in Brazil. We were impressed with his enthusiasm and his energy, really this tour will be very important for the "J" scene.

Circuito Livre

On February 3rd, 2009, we were invited to the TV show “Circuito Livre” (“Free Circuit”), on Petrópolis’ Channel 23, of which Rafael Bomtempo is one of the hosts. We had left late and, as everybody knows, Petrópolis is the only city in the world where you take one hour to cross the center of the city, with all its “1 km”. After almost not getting a place to park the car and getting caught in a naughty rain, we found the building where the show was shot. In a moment, the man who was filming asked the hostess: “Shouldn’t you have done the advertisement?”; She answered: “What do you think I was doing?? Waiting for some nigga to fuck me??”. So cool uhauahaua, we laughed a lot at the time, luckily it was a taped show. We were interviewed, talked about our beginnings and a little about ourselves, some scenes from the Rio Anime Club's concert were put together with the interview.

Going to Caxias

On February 8th, we had a concert in an event at Caxias, Anime Uchuu. This time, Chiquinho, Patrick's father, drove us in a car, and on the other, was Rafael Bomtempo, who has already taken us to Rio Anime Club, where he taped scenes for his TV show "Circuito Livre". He was with his girlfriend Eliane Seabra. We left. Arriving at the city, we went asking about the place, since we didn't know it. Like always, a jackass gave us wrong directions. (I love doing that too!) We faced a hellish heat, because that day it was like 40 degrees, and we played around 1 pm. Being from a cold city like Petrópolis, that heat is ultrabizarre. Some of us were sick, but despite that the show was very crazy and the people jumped and sang a lot with us, and of course, won Negrescos cookies. The organization gave us lots of water and food, which is rare to see, we like them a lot. On the way back from the show, about 2 km from Xerém, one of the cars stopped, it was out of oil. Me, Bomtempo, Lili, Johann and Leo syayed at least about 2 hours trying to find a way to go back, trying to make the car work or finding some recovery. We were at Concer (company that takes care of the road), and they didn't have a recovery vehicle to take us, but they had a coffee machine that... Oh my God!!

The sky was getting grayer and scarier (haha). Finally a private recovery vehicle arrived, at the time when the storm, we went inside the car, upon the recovery vehicle, going up the mountains, with water falling everywhere. We arrived at 8 pm at Gui's house, about 3 hours after the guys that were on the first car.

A Brief Panorama

Since this is the first post on this diary, I've decided to tell you a little of what we've been through on the last few weeks and what we're currently working on.

After the shows we played on at Rio, we started to work on our first J-rock compositions. Two of them are work ordered by the guys at Hero Factory, who will debut their new Tokusatsu on the Internet, for which we became responsible for writing the songs. And for Nippon Project, we promised to deliver a recording of a song by Shi-no, who will go on a Brazilian tour in May. But meanwhile, Gui decided to build at his home a professional studio. We had a lot of work to do and little time.

Three weeks later the studio was ready, and the rush started. I spent days in there, recording guide tracks, testing equipment. There was no time for rehearsal, the guys would come, prepare the arrengements and record, it was like that most of the time. A little more than a week ago, "Kokoro no Jikan" was finished and we put in on MySpace, and, two days later, "DEEP", cover of Gram∞Maria. With the confirmation that we would open Shi-no's shows at Rio and that we also would be the support band, our focus turned to preparing the arrangements and finish our new songs.
